Cuba si!
Mirando bien de cerca, lo que antes no podia
Camino por el cuerpo, rayo, tierra y estrellas
Aprendímos a contar, leer y escribir
Ahora si marchamos nadien puede deternos
Una pequeña piesa donde puedo descansar
Obreros, campesinos, gente simple con amor
Y puedo ser un negro, mujer o labrador
nadien nos detene
Preparados a vencer!
This is the cuba that i love
Un pueblo con cariño, pueblo con amor
Amigos, compañeros, juntos caminando
En el malecon, en el malecon
El mar gigante y azul
Abierto para todos, ancho como el sol
Gigante abierto democratico
En mi corazon en mi corazon
That tiny little island con un grande corazon
The Yankees bitter pill they’ve tried to swallow for so long
Uncle Sam’s got his plans, and his nasty power plays
but tiny little Cuba keeps on getting in the way
Where the streets are alive with the spirit of Martí
inspired by love and solidarity
standing united defending their nation
there’s more to life than levi’s and a sony playstation
And they can vilify, assassinate, blockade and humiliate
lie, and cheat, sabotage and collaborate
but the message of peace, compassion and freedom
is so much stronger than their message of hate
And all you fukiyamas and all your fucking friends
where’s your end of history?
Look at Cuba once again
Cause if you think that this will be a walk in the park
this is not Grenada, Panama or Iraq
History has shown
and has made it very clear
you can kill a revolutionary
but not the idea
cause everytime the Yankees threat becomes real
like superman they find the revolution’s made of steel
and all your guns and tanks will fade away
because the revolution is here to stay
Yes the fact remains that Cuba’s still there
fighting against poverty, injustice and despair
You can kill many people sow discontent and fear
But you can’t kill a spirit or kill an idea
An idea whose time has come,
building like a tsunami
A revolutionary consciousness,
a revolutionary army
Socialismo o muerte it’s not just words
and throughout Latin America it’s starting to be heard
and all this is pointing to a glorious future
for there’ll be one, two three, many more Cuba’s
